Cane Corso dog: the dog of the 3rd Millennium
It is not the historical period that makes this obvious (because its origins are well much more remote) but its morphological and behavioural characteristics that make it the most suited for accomplishing the most of tasks people expect of a dog (both the single owner and the family). The Cane Corso is a dog that it is unique of its kind: its elegant and powerful appearance demands respect from those who have never seen and gives a touch of class and elegance to your life. Its shiny bright coat needs only a light brushing every now and then. Its dimensions also allow it to be easily transported, even in the car; and the possibility of keeping it also in the house (as long as he has a little time for a walk), even though we would recommend that it have at least a small garden or a balcony. Its sweet and affectionate look warm the heart of its friend-man and they reassure him, because it offers both the joy of a playmate (also for our children) as well as indispensable guardian of the house and a very faithful defender of our person.
The Cane Corso dog is a multi-purpose dog
polyvalent.
The different abilities of this extraordinary race are obvious; it excels on many fronts: from company to keeping watch, from personal defense to hunting the wild boar (if it is trained young). From this positive general picture. It is clear, what its future developments will be as it takes its place at the heart of third millennium society.
Structure
Morphologically, it is a dog of medium-high build, endowed with strong and vigorous skeleton, it has a well defined muscular structure. The eye has to be as dark as possible in relation to the color of the coat. The skull is very imposing with wide cheekbones, the stop is marked and the nasal reed is relatively short and it shows a black or grey typical mask. The set of teeth is lightly prognathous. The trunk is strongly built, but it is not stocky and the thorax is well developed in three dimensions (it does not come down under the elbows). The back is long, wide and straight, and it is lightly inclined on the rump. Some white stains are admitted: on the breast, on the feet top and the nasal reed. Its weight can change in between 40 and 50 kg.
Character
The character is the main feature about Cane Corso, because it is an utility dog, so the lack of its typical character would make it useless. Like a good Molossian, it is deeply bound to its master, also defending him to its own life. Balanced, vigilant and intelligent, it is a family part, excellent with children and pets, it develops a role of watch and defense dog in every case, with a low and strong bark tonality, and it never uselessly barks. It excels in the wild boar hunting, if it is trained to such purpose since it is a pup.
Opposite, the inconsiderate breeding of many self-styled breeders has brought to have timid, timorous or very aggressive subjects too; So the most important thing, it is a good evaluation about the subject to buy, relying to a serious and selective breeding.
